Practicing the Word: Walking in Obedience as the Bride of Christ

It’s one thing to hear the Word, and a whole different thing to actually live it out.

For a long time, I thought just knowing scripture was enough. I’d listen, agree, even feel encouraged but deep down, something felt off. My relationship with God felt distant, like I knew about Him but wasn’t really walking with Him.

Everything started to change when I began putting the Word into practice.

Not perfectly. Not overnight. Just small, real steps choosing obedience even when it wasn’t easy. Letting go of things I knew weren’t right. Being more intentional about how I live, not just what I say.

That’s when things became real.

Being the Bride of Christ isn’t about having everything figured out. It’s about being willing. It’s about showing up daily and choosing to follow God not out of pressure, but out of love.

Because at the end of the day, obedience is what builds the relationship.

It shows up in the little things no one else sees.
Choosing God’s way over your own.
Staying consistent, even when it’s tough.

And over time, you realize you’re not just hearing the Word anymore.

You’re actually living it. And that’s where the relationship becomes real.
